The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University, psychandneuro.duke.edu, invites applications for an early or late stage Assistant Professor position in Developmental Psychology to begin Fall 2024.

We seek outstanding applicants with a nationally recognized and externally fundable research program in Developmental Psychology. The specific research area is open, but our preference is for research in basic processes of cognitive and/or social development (rather than applied or clinical). The ideal candidate will also be an effective teacher at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will supervise Ph.D. students as a member of the developmental graduate training area (and potentially other areas) in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience. Duke offers a rich intellectual climate, and the faculty member could have additional affiliations with the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, the Social Science Research Institute, and the Carolina Consortium on Human Development.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae, statements of research and teaching interests, three selected reprints/preprints, and three letters of reference. Applicants may also, optionally, submit a statement describing any efforts they have made or plan to make to encourage diversity and inclusion in their research, teaching, or other academic activities.

Applicants can complete an application and upload the required materials via Academic Jobs Online: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/25972. Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2023 and continue until the position is filled. The start date for the position is July or August 2024 (or as soon thereafter as possible).
