The East Tennessee State University Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody (ETSU COE) is pleased to announce a full time, assistant professor, clinical track position for a child clinical psychologist. The ETSU COE is part of a statewide network of five regional Centers of Excellence funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee dedicated to improving behavioral and physical health services for children involved with child welfare by providing both consultation and direct services for children with complex medical, developmental, behavioral, psychological, and psychiatric needs. The ETSU COE is a member of the COE Best Practices Collaborative which disseminates evidence-based treatment for children and families impacted by trauma across TN.

The ETSU COE is housed in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Quillen College of Medicine. The COE Psychologist participates as a member of the COE interdisciplinary team. This position provides direct mental health services, including clinical evaluations, psychological testing, therapeutic interventions and case consultations; training/education services; and assisting in coordination and oversight of statewide projects to disseminate evidence-based practice to mental health and child welfare systems across Tennessee.
