Are you looking to gain psychological research experience? Dr. Anne Fernandez from the University of Michigan Medical School – Department of Psychiatry is seeking a highly motivated, autonomous Data Analyst able to program, manage data, and conduct statistical analyses using SAS and R. The primary role of this position will be to evaluate, prepare, and perform independent analyses using clinical, electronic health record, and observational data from several studies focused on alcohol use and health. The work is funded by NIH and other grants.

The Data Analyst will execute the appropriate modeling and statistical analyses in collaboration with project principal investigators and biostatistician, including descriptive and multivariable statistical analyses – while engaging with other staff and faculty members to evaluate and interpret research findings.

Required Qualifications: Position requires a minimum of a master’s degree in Statistics, Public Health (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Services), Informatics, Social Sciences, or related field with, among other skills, a solid grounding in statistical theory and application, and willingness to learn and apply new methods and approaches.
