We are seeking a full-time Professional Rater I to join the team on the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study at Washington University in St. Louis. The ABCD Study is a large-scale study to determine how childhood experiences interact with each other and with a child’s changing biology to affect brain development and social, behavioral, academic, health, and other outcomes. The primary responsibilities of research assistants on the ABCD Study are the following:

  • Work with youth (ages 16+) and adult participants representative of the St. Louis community at annual study visits.
  • Administer surveys/questionnaires on topics regarding culture and environment, mental and physical health, and substance use.
  • Administer behavioral/cognitive/computerized tests.
  • Operate Siemens 3T MRI machine to collect structural and functional imaging data.
  • Collect and process biological samples (hair, saliva, urine, blood) in accordance with study guidelines.
  • Perform data collection and entry; maintain accurate documentation across all study databases.
  • Assists with study-related tasks (e.g., preparing study visit materials, data cleaning).

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree. This position requires weekend availability (one weekend off each month).
