Dr. Marjorie Rhodes is seeking a full-time Junior Laboratory Associate to coordinate research on conceptual development and the development of social cognition. Information about the lab’s research is available at: and


Job duties include:

·       Coordinating research in museum-based and school-based settings, including communicating and working with school and museum personnel, working on public outreach efforts with these community partners, training and supervising research assistants to conduct research in community-based settings, maintaining quality control over research activities in multiple offsite locations, coordinating the scheduling of research sessions across multiple sites

·       Recruiting families to participate in research and conducting data collection sessions with children and their families

·       Maintaining data management and processing systems, including providing training and supervision on these systems

·       Contributing to general lab administration and organization, including IRB applications and grant reports

·       Contributing to research in the lab, including collaborating with other researchers in the lab on study design, protocol development, analyses, and research dissemination



Applicants should have:

·       A bachelor’s degree in psychology or cognitive science

·       One or more years of research experience, preferably including recruitment and data collection

·       The ability to work independently and to collaborate on teams

·       Keen attention to detail

·       Excellent communication and public relations skills

·       Strong organizational, managerial, and problem-solving skills

·       Experience with R, Datavyu, and Databrary are highly desirable
