Visiting Assistant Professor in Education Studies, Wesleyan University


The College of Education Studies (CES) at Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of the Learning Sciences to teach in-person courses at the intersection of psychology, education, and the learning sciences. We seek applicants who will complement our current offerings. Responsibilities include teaching survey courses in the candidate’s area of expertise and contributing to academic advising. The visitor course load is five courses per academic year. The appointment will begin September 1, 2021. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in education, psychology, or a related field in hand by the time of appointment to be hired as an Assistant Professor; a successful candidate may be hired as an Instructor if the candidate does not have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment, but will complete the education, psychology, or a related field within one year of hire.

Additionally, please provide brief descriptions (one paragraph each) of two courses you would like to teach.
