Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology
Hampden-Sydney College, a private liberal arts college for men, invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure-track appointment beginning August 2021. The department is seeking candidates with expertise in developmental or cognitive psychology, with or without a neuroscience approach. Candidates should have their Ph.D. by the time of their appointment and be prepared to teach courses in their area of specialization as well as in research and quantitative methods. The course load for this position is seven per year. Preferred candidates will be interested in engaging undergraduate students in research projects. Hampden-Sydney College is a selective liberal arts institution enrolling approximately 1000 students. Founded in 1775, it has been in continuous operation for 245 years, making it the tenth oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. Our beautiful 1300-acre campus is less than 7 miles from downtown Farmville, home to Longwood University and the Moton Museum, which is listed on the U.S. Civil Rights Trail.
