IWERC Postdoctoral Position

The Illinois Workforce and Education Research Collaborative (IWERC) is seeking candidates for postdoctoral positions. IWERC is a new University of Illinois research unit housed at the Discovery Partners Institute in Chicago. Its goal is to conduct rigorous research on the most pressing educational issues facing the state, from cradle to career.


IWERC is seeking candidates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds. Candidates for the position may have earned (or be close to earning) a Ph.D. in any discipline, but all candidates should be interested in applying their methodological training to education and workforce research questions. All candidates will be considered, but candidates with strong quantitative skills, experience analyzing secondary and longitudinal data, and/or expertise in studying equity issues are especially encouraged to apply.

The start date is flexible, but ideally candidates would begin sometime between May and September 2021. Candidates who are successful in the postdoctoral position would be considered for longer-term employment at IWERC.
