The Child Language Lab at Northwestern University, directed by Dr. Adriana Weisleder, is looking for a Spanish-English bilingual Research Assistant/Coordinator to start this summer.

The position is part of an NIH-funded study examining trajectories of language development in Spanish-English bilingual toddlers with and without language delay. The RA will work closely with the PI and lab team, and will be responsible for participant recruitment, conducting child assessments and eye-tracking studies, overseeing data management, and supervising/mentoring students. There will also be opportunities to contribute to data analysis, presentations and publications.

Qualifications: A successful candidate must have: (1) a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Human Development, Linguistics, or related field; (2) strong writing and communication skills; (3) strong organizational skills and attention to detail; (4) an aptitude for and interest in data management and measurement; (5) high level of fluency in Spanish and English; and (6) interest in working with infants and toddlers and their families. Experience with data management software (e.g., REDCap) and database creation and maintenance is a plus.
