The Psychology Department at Grand Valley State University invites applicants for a one-year visiting position for the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful candidate will teach 4 undergraduate classes per semester, with no more than 2 preps per semester. The candidate will have teaching responsibility for Infant Development, Child Development and/or Lifespan Development. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in psychology or be near completion of a Ph.D. This is a full-time, academic-year, visiting position, with a one-year initial appointment. There is a possibility, but not a guarantee, that the position will continue beyond one year. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates from underrepresented groups, and from candidates who have interest and/or experience in working with diverse student and community populations.
Visitors have access to shared laboratory facilities and equipment, as well as an undergraduate subject pool. GVSU has a large and diverse group of 41 full-time psychology faculty members who engage in teaching and research in all areas of psychological science. Visitors have the opportunity to continue their research and to collaborate with faculty and/or undergraduate students.
