Our lab has an opening for a postdoc fellow!

This is an opportunity to receive research training with our collaborative and supportive interdisciplinary team of neuroscientists, engineers, psychologists, social workers, physicians, and clinical researchers. The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised by Dr. Nili Solomonov, a psychotherapy researcher and a clinical psychologist. Our lab focuses on identification of neurobiological and clinical mechanisms of action in psychotherapies for mid/late-life depression and suicidality as well as perinatal mood disorders. We leverage mechanistic insights to develop personalized and scalable psychotherapies for underserved, understudied communities.

This position is ideal for a candidate who is interested in pursuing an academic career and has experience in neuroimaging methods and/or computational and statistical methods, ideally following graduation from a clinical psychology, neuroscience, computer science or engineering program. Responsibilities will include participation in conducting and analyzing data for projects on clinical trials funded by the NIMH and private foundations. The fellowship will also include preparation of competitive grant applications and peer reviewed manuscripts, with the opportunity to prepare a career development award application (e.g. K award). The fellow will receive ongoing supervision and participate in research and clinical meetings.

Optimal candidates will have applied experience in neuroimaging and/or statistical and computational approaches in clinical populations and a track record of publications and grant applications. This position is full-time, with the possibility for a hybrid work schedule. The lab is located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
