Farmingdale State College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology (Tenure-Track). The successful candidate will possess a PhD in Psychology or Neuroscience and will be able to teach courses in Biopsychology, Cognitive Psychology, Research Methods, and/or Statistics. The successful candidate will also serve as the program director of the new Applied Psychology B.S. program offered at Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York. At Farmingdale State College, all faculty members are expected to fulfill three primary workload components: teaching, scholarship, and service.  Successful candidates should exhibit a strong interest and high level of competence in teaching, with the expectation that they will deliver courses in hybrid, online, and traditional face-to-face formats. Additionally, candidates should have a well-defined research agenda that aligns with their academic specialization, resulting in peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Both of these achievements are vital for promotion and tenure at Farmingdale State College.  The service component of the workload involves student advisement and active participation in departmental, school, and college-wide committees.
